I'm not sure if I can pinpoint my favourite part about this piece because I'm in total awe of everything in it. So I guess I'll start with the background.

Backgrounds are something I've noticed you don't do much at all but from all those other random sketchy/colored backgrounds you've done I always thought you had amazing potential to do something extremely WOW worthy. And you have right now! I can't even begin to imagine how much your backgrounds could improve were you to try and do backgrounds more often. It has a very pro-look, but also has your signature in it. IT'S KURU-PRO. I really love how you've done the water. The color is just so wonderfully displayed at all the right places, the luminesent blue around Ariel is especially nice. The mood I think you've done a fantastic job with, so much that I soon may join you in sending sweet love letters and poetry to. -shot- But no really I love the yellowness of the moon and the craters. The rocks are a nice touch, and I'm glad you took my advice on adding some things to it. Speaking of glad you took my advice things, the silloette of the ship is awesome It makes more sense now that she's looking onto a ship, rather than the moon, cause Ariel wanted to be among people, not among aliens. : D /douche

Ok now onto the character. I'm loving every little detail added to her, but I must say I'm most impressed with the way you cged the hair. It's such a nice amount of detail and it makes her hair look so silky smooth GOD I WANT TO TOUCH IT! The tail has a very nice texture, and I love the little glittery effect that it gives off in the moonlight. That's pretty much how I invision mermaid tails to look like, cause I suppose fish scales do that sometimes... do they? I don't remember it's been a while since I've seen a fish at night uhh... off topic lols. Though you didn't draw her face I think Ariel in general is nicely positioned and posed and it just tells a story more rather than a simple detailed picture of her sitting on a rock.

Mmm this is most definitely one of my favourite pieces from you, possibly number 1. I hope you do more like this man, because I'd love to see what you could come up with in future D:
